The 411

 A month later and I'm still moving !! when is this going to end !!??!!as I cry inside .
So yes , a month later and I still have  a garage full of boxes with no sight of ever getting clean and organize! uh can I just say how much I hateeee moving!!

Good thing is that we are settling down and some of us are no longer leaving of a suitcase we upgrade the suitcases to plastic containers until  we the new dressers delivered  (some time this month) hopefully. Another good thing is that the kiddos are settling good in their new school . Honestly I dint see the day where I could sleep in until 10 but well a month later and that hasn't happen unfortunately I have an internal clock that wakes me up everyday at 5:17 whyyyyyy I ask myself that everyday I just want to sleep till 7 I cry in disappointment .And the good news keep on coming .. I'm going to be going back to work full time very soon and switching time with the hubs he will still be working but his going to be bringing most of his work at home so he could be on call for the kids because well you never know since just this month I've gotten called 3 times because one had a nose bleed and the other two needed a change of clothes just because they had a bit too much fun recess time.

  (I apologize in advance for the pictures your about to see since I forgot to take pictures of the home before moving in because you know I was to busy moving and this are the pictures I found in our oldest cell ) enjoy  lol

In other news we are thinking that for our first project in this new house we wanted to first paint due to that this mustard color we have on the walls are brining me down and can't even talk about the bright pink and the bright blue and yellow in the kids room (every time I go in there I come out with a headache ) I don't know why but I can't take those bright colors anymore I don't know if is something psychological or is nonsense as my husband describes telling me I just want him to do work . Well jokes on him since I'm not letting him paint this time I'm hiring , well ill be hiring from within  (the painter that has done many works for me before) . There is just to much to paint in this house and just the foyer is a 20plus feet job I don't feel comfortable getting or letting my husband get on a ladder .

There is a lot to do in this house before making it a home but little by little due to that we are still not sure if we want to purchase or if we can it all depends on many things that I will later get into so for now we will be painting and bringing some new light fixtures and decorating the space to our liking ,later who knows .

New life

We have move !! I repeat we have moved .! LOL  ...


It was a sudden thing but ill be explaining it on a later day , for now we are still settling down with half of our belongings still in the garage and leaving of suitcases . What can I say from a 2000plus sqft home to a 3000sqft home let just say I've been very tired{lazy} to say the least and I can bring my self to unpack everything as fast as I've done in my previous moves . So for now things will stay the same until kids start school this week  then and only then things will be going back to normal {hopefully}.

Books a plenty

I most confess that I have a slight addition to books !! idk what is about them I love them from styling and fashion books to decorating and fiction books I love them all !! nothing like a good book and a cup of joy {tea normally} in the morning or honestly at any time of the day .

                                 *this are not all my styling books



My life is a bit busy but I try to read at least 30 mins a day thats the time I dedicate to myself for zen purposes its what keeps me sane {couch couch *}.


I can read a verity of things I love all kinds of book my favorite author by far has to be Ann Rice there is not a book of her that I haven't read and that I have not loved!! I honestly just sink in to every single one of her stories , so much I feel that I'm part of them seeing how they develop is just mesmerizing , I just can't put it down .

But the books I will be talking about today are some of my coffee table /styling books. I try to incorporate any book in every design I make .There something about it,  from a pretty cover to a pretty binder or just in general interesting is a most have conversational piece in any room or space.

One day at a time

Lately we haven't been doing much around the house ,since things were paused for a little while until we found out if we were getting finally our home or not . Well we are not ! ..for a while now since the whole home deal went down I will later comment on it since is still a bit of a touchy subject in this house . Anyhow I told the hubs if we can start doing some stuff around the house like old times and he gratefully agreed , Imagine my joy to hear that because I've been craving to get my hands in some paint !!


Our first to do list was the foyer ! since thats the first room you see as you walk into our home and well the decor we had there wasn't fitting my style anymore .

                         

As time had progress my style has evolved and I think is for the best since I'm approaching a more less is more kind of mind set and I think it has made my mind other than my home less clutter and thats what I was going for . Im still into colors and all fun things but I want more airy feeling in my home and as well as in my mind. Sometimes when I would walk though my home I will start getting all anxious for no reason  well thats what I thought and after sitting in my leaving room for about an hour thinking of why I was feeling this way realized that I needed a change in my home I needed to bring more calmness to my madness. I love pops of colors here and there but like you can see in my foyer thats how the rest of my home looked very colorful and fun . Don't get me wrong I still love this style but it wasn't fitting my family anymore .

We have grown this past two years I mean my youngest was 3 at the time and now she is 5  and like her we all gotten a bit older and I guess we all have change a lot all for the best I hope . My daughter was very into vibrant colors as well as my boys but they are not like me they like a more calm set of style like muted pinks ,purples, grays,blues and greens . I guess my kids aren't babies anymore ! sad sad I know I would love for them to be babies for ever ! .

Well as I stayed before things have change and they will continue to change until everyone is satisfied and ill be bringing all the changes very soon as we progress of making this house our home until moving time {witch I'm not sure when will that be } .

So far & whats coming

    Is been a while since I've posted anything in here there has been a lot of new things in our life good and bad but most of all good .

             

    1. We are still in the same house {rental} do to a lot of problems with the developers and contractors of the home we where trying to build also we have had a change in job and needed to stay put for a little while .

    2. We are still moving because the owner of this house is still trying to set the house so right now we are in borrow time with him.


    3. Summer stared and all kids are home but soon they will all be going to school yes all 3 of them . Time really flies I can't believe I have 3 school age kids already


  4. Talking about school ill be going to school myself to further my education this year , I'm very exited and scared at the same time


  5. My husband and I will have our 10th year anniversary this October wow times does fly.

Planning Tray

I cant believe it has been almost 3 weeks since my last post what !!! well resin behind that is that first my oldest son running around in the beach  stumble upon a pice of glass and cut two of his toes and we had to rushed him to the hospital and he got 28 stitches 17 in the front and 11 in the back of his toes  {yeah it was that bad i mean we saw bone} .. i dont know if it was the mommy in me getting all into a panic mode but i definitely saw something it was one if not the worst moment in my life  and to my surprise my son hardly cry or in fact didn't cry at all he was in such of a surprise /panic /adrenaline state that he didn't feel it until the next day while we were cleaning his stitches . he is all better now his stitches have come off and he has gone back to school this past monday witch not being selfish our anything because i love my kids and i love having them around has given me a bit of time to come down to my studio and finish couple things because while he was enjured i took off my professional / work woman cap and put on the nurse one and of course the mommy one is always there but i enforced it a bit more . i know he needed me so i didn't want him to see me working while i was support to be taking care of him . Im sure that all the mommies out there understand me .

Well now to my little 5 minute project right ?>...

Well while my son was injured i took out this old tray i had i dont even know how i got it so he could sit  down in the family room and eat or even in his bedroom witch any other day would of been a big no no in our family but  this was a special occasion and  he could hardly move . on monday while i was putting all his things back and just organizing the house i came a crossed the tray and well a light bulb when off  .. I'm always complaining that i have to do all my planing {because i cant live without planning } if not in my studio witch is downstairs  or in my dinning room or in my vanity area {more about that later } witch to me is a pain since i want to be sitting in the couch or in the bed but iu have much to cary around and no where to put it . 

This are the items i use on a daily basic for panning ...

• My Kate Spade planner {witch is my professional planning .. where i have all my meetings and clients  info and all that good stuff } .
• A cute target planner that i made into my blogging and project planner .{ since this planner the majority of time is at home i didn't need for it to be high end or anything like that i wanted to be cute to look at and very efficient witch by the way it is i highly recumbent it and at 19.99 who can go wrong right ..
• my kikki k planner that i use for everything { thats where i keep all my family outings , school activities , appointments , to do list , shopping list , and so on and its always in my purse .
• Stickers {what better way to decorate at the same time be organize than stickers }
• Washi tape {im so addicted to them i just ordered 20 rolls from a little shop in the Netherlands that made them just to die for } unfortunately they dont have a store online yet but soon i cant wait !!  {they just do me the favor since I've been a loyal costumer for years ..how i contact them if their not online well via email or phone ..{ill do a post about them when i get my package so y'all can see what I'm talking about as well give you a little back story i came a crossed this little shop .}
• post it notes {witch i also ordered from that shop } but normally i get them at the sol;lat spot int target , Jo Ann fabrics , hobby lobby or Michael's.
• A note pad {i always like to write little notes down for later.
• pens ! love love pens i need to have them all even tho i only write with black in i l;ike hightailing certain words and so one with the color ones ,
• Scissors {to make straight ages while cutting washi tape }
• last but not least my iPad and phone why you might ask with all the planners because sometimes i cant take my planners out with me no matter how small they are if I'm going to a fancy dinner  with a client or my family or anything like that i dont want to be rude by taking out a planner in the middle of the dinner to check if I'm free just in case they want to do something right >? so my iPhone and iPad serve me as my everything planners tech wise {everything thats inside my paper planers all 3 of them is inside my phone and iPad .} pot course couple things are coded since people love to hack into others tech devices and i dont want to make it so easy so everyone could know all my family information and personal affairs .

I'm thinking of making some kind of post regarding how i keep my life organize with my planner .. maybe soon..

Back to the project .. well the tray was initially like pine color looking a bit distress since i dont know how long has been sitting in a box in the back room all i did was give it a good cleaning , sanded down and sprayed painted it . witch i dont have pictures of that process because i didn't thought of blogging about it was just giving it a purpose at the time witch it was to serve my son .

After my son was done with it i had some extra marble adhesive contact paper from my previous project and decided to put it to good use .

Ta da...!!/..
nothing fancy but it helps tons ... now i can relax in the couch wit my "planning tray " and not have to worry if the wash tape or scissors have gone down trough the cram of the couch cushions ..

Some new changes..

Since I came back I have been giddy about making some changes to the blog some new blogs , new graphics , and some new tabs .The old one where just not giving me that feeling of excitement to come and sit couple hours in front of while a write. it wasn’t reflecting my personality or where I I want to go with the blog at all.


I needed something brighter ,full of life something that would reflect my personality , im a very exited person , always {most of the time} super happy , if not I could say hyper im a kid trapped in a woman's body with a huge 3 tier cake .  I think I described myself pretty well lol. Also I wanted something that could catch who ever comes around my blog attention enough to stay and read on abet more .




First New logo : the one before was a bit bright on the wrong direction , they where just to plain for me even though bright they where also faded ..I just wanted to throw out there that I love color and I am not afraid to use it.{wink wink }

  

Second icons : I decided to update my media icons why ? well because I notice that most of them for some weird reason weren't working , so I fixed them and also gave them a bit of a color update .



Third tabs : I added couple new tabs one for a Home tour that would soon come as well as a contact tab just incase you had a question and didn’t want to blur it out to the world you can reach me at my email ..

And well that’s it for now ill be coming back later on with a summer re-cap .
