DIY : tassel garland

Ive been very behind posting projects that we have accomplish in our home so to that one of my new years resolution is (to find time 3 to 4 times a week to post one of our many projects that are always coming up or better say that i bring up in our home }.

a few months back i decided to start working on our kids room staring with our doughter Annaliah .. so far I've posted about ..her custom ombre drapes , tea/coloring table , new pillow , headband and bows organization , and even a new coset set up oh and what about her xmas presents from last year?

As anyone can see she is very girly more than me even ! ..she loves all pink and sparkle things  so i went with the flow of the room for the tassel .. i decided to go with ombre pink and added some sparkle with the gold.

Materials

  • /2 sheet of tissue paper/mylar per tassel
  • scissors
  • ribbon/cord
Step 1: Gather materials.

Step 2: Fold a piece of tissue paper in half and in half the other way. Cut strips towards the fold to create the fringe, leaving about 1 to 2 inch uncut at the fold line. Once all strips are cut, unfold the tissue and cut in half so you have 2 sheets with fringe (to make 2 tassels).

Step 3: Unfold tissue paper.

Step 4Begin rolling tightly down the middle crease.

Step 5: Continue rolling, fold in half and then twist to create a loop for hanging.

Step 6: Repeat to create additional tassels in various colors. Hang from thin cord or ribbon.

Step 7: Step back and enjoy!!!...
